Milestones at a Glance

April 27th - Ella is born - 6 pounds, 14.5 ounces, 19.5 inches
April 28th - Ella is released from the hospital after just 11 hours
April 29th - her first trip to a restaurant - Sun Ya
April 30th - first visit with the pediatrician - 6 pounds, 5 ounces, 19.5 inches
May 11th - 2 week appointment - 6 pounds, 12 ounces, 19.5 inches
May 18th - 3 week weight check - 7 pounds, 5 ounces
May 22 - first visit to the race track
Early June - 5-6 weeks old, starts smiling when awake
Early June - starts making baby sounds when awake
June 28 - 2 month appointment - 21.5 inches long, 9 pounds 15.5 ounces (25th percentile for 2 month-old, 75th percentile for 1 month old - adjusted age)
July 27 - 3 months old. First babysitters - Uncle Henry and aunt-to-be, Mandy
August 2 - 3 months - sleeps for 6 straight hours (after 2 nights of sleep-training)
August 9 - sleeps for 7.5 straight hours
August 9 - 3.5 months - rolls from tummy to back for first time (over her right shoulder)
August 10 - 10 straight hours of sleep, followed by 3 straight hours
August 12 - 15 weeks - reaches 12 pounds!
August 18 - 16 weeks - sleeps through the night - 11.5 hours total!
August 26 - 17 weeks - starting to discover her hands and trying to grab things
August 26 - 17 weeks - rolled from tummy to back over left side
August 26 - 4 month doc appt. 24 inches, 11 pounds, 15.75 ounces. 25th percentile for both, 90th percentile for head
August - starts rolling on to her side from her back
September 11 - 20 weeks - rolls from back to tummy, and back again
4 Months - starts grabbing things
5 months - starts solids - rice cereal once a day. She likes it.
5.5 months - start adding veggies to cereal - we start with greenbeans. She likes it!!
5.5 months - finds her feet - FINALLY!
5.5 months - we learn she sleeps really well on her tummy
6 month doc appt - 14.5 pounds, 24.5 inches
6.5 months - starts to raspberry constantly
6.5 months - probably been a month now but is sleeping unswaddled and in whatever position she                     wants.
7 months - sitting pretty good. Still a bit wobbly though.
7.5 months - sitting with no problem
8 months - pulls to standing in her crib for first time
8.2 months - Ella begins to self-wean. I thought it was a nursing strike but it went on for 7 days.
8.5 months - drops last midnight feeding and is FINALLY sleeping through the night
8.5 months - fully weaned
8 months, 3.5 weeks - learns to go from her tummy to sitting
9 months, 1 week - starts to babble "ga" and "ya"
11 months, 1 week - takes her first steps
11 months, 1 week - has whole milk in a sippy for the 1st time. doesn't phase her at all.
1 year - doc. appt. weighed 18.5 pounds (30th percentile), and 27" in height.
1 year - walking pretty well... seems to prefer walking to crawling now.
1 year - off formula for good. Does really well with whole milk.
1 year - lots of babbling, but still no words.
1 year, 3 months - can say book, hi, cat, and hot
1 week shy of 3years old - potty trained!
